Nantasket Beach Raceway is one of the finest locations that I have ever raced at, right up there with TajMaHO Raceway. We should have a race report posted soon, but one of the guys was really burning up the track.

A race report by Kevin Westgate.

Nantasket Beach Raceway
Hull,Mass. September 30th,2007
The pits were full by 9:00 for the much anticipated Fenders at the Beach event hosted by John Stezlecki on his Nuvolari track, that I believe to be one of the smoothest tracks that I had ever run on.First up was was the first of a double feature in the Sportsman division where last years northeast NSCS points winner Rick (fireball) Hubbert would pick right up where he left off and take first place.Right behind him with a strong finish was Dr. speed himself Rich Dumas, 3rd place was John Stezlecki running one of Hubberts "back up" cars and rounding out the top 4 was Al (the intimidator) Perschilli in his newly built #3 Earnhardt machine.
Event #2 would be alot of the same with Hubbert getting another win in the Sportsman series that would give him a good jump in the points race in this young season. Showing off his slot car saavy would be John Stezlecki in 2nd place, right behind him was Rich Dumas in third and Bruce (why ain't it legal) Gordo would pull in fourth after having some technical issues in the first event.
Next race would feature the T-Jet Trans am class which had a full feild of some very sharp looking cars and the were pretty fast too. John Stezlecki would douce those flames coming out the rear end of Hubberts car and beat him out in this one putting Rick in WHAT? second place, see he is human..And battling it out for 3rd and 4th would be Bruce Gordo and Rich Dumas with neither one giving any thing away Bruce would edge him out for third.
And the final race for the day would be the Amatuer box stock Lifelike cars with buil! ding Gur u Glen Oswald taking his first HOCOC feature win, way to go Glen that's the first of many I'm sure.Second place would be rookie sensation Cameron Howarth in his first HOCOC race,3rd place Kevin Oswald was gunning for dad but just didn't have enough in the tank to catch him,Trent bradbury would take fourth place on this day but watch for his win to come real soon by the looks of some of the cars he's built.
Last but not least I'd like to tip my hat to John Stezlecki for allowing us to run our races on his track and being an excellent host for this event,John went above and beyond to make everyone feel at home.Special thanks to Tom Stumpf of Tom's HO cars for helping us out and of course thanks to all the members for making it another succesasfull HOCOC event.Next race is in October at Berlin Raceways wich will be the annual Nostalgia event thats always an awesome day of racing.....
Oh yeah Joe Eastlack made a guest appearance but didn't bring any of his cars with him.Must be saving them for something, what could it be.......... ......... ......... .........
