MASCAR season opener... - 11/06/03 10:29 AM

Two weeks to go for the MASCAR opener at White Rock Raceway, November 22nd. This is the first time Virginia's leading HO race series has crossed the border to another state to race. If you know the quality of the tracks at Maryland's White Rock Raceway, then you'll understand why we took the step of starting the season in another state! Classes to be run are Super Stock, BeachJets and CRL NASCAR Hardbody. Pictures of the tracks, map to White Rock and rules are all on the MASCAR web site:

sat= ss tech at 1130 race starts at noon
beach jets at tech at 245 , 300pm race start
crl tech at 500pm, 530pm race start

I hope to see a big crowd!

I want to thank all of the racers who converged on Sykesville,Md's White Rock Raceway yesterday to kickoff MASCAR's 2nd season and to make race #1 a great success , and to Jack Hynes for having one the nicest places to race on the entire east coast and allowing us to hold our race there. What a large and diverse group of racers we had, including the Player's group out of Westminiter,Md., several Team Wizzard drivers, CRL members,Team BRP, White Rock regulars, Bo Day, Eric O., Rich Buell and several vendors including Mark Tutton and Tony Tussing with tons of parts and other neat HO and 1/32 goodies. The Food and drinks were in endless supply and of gormet quality! Wow ! Special thanks to White Rock Raceway,BSRT,and other sponsors for the great door prizes also. A big up to James "King James" Kennedy for his dominating win on the 6 lane tri-oval from pole to finnish! What a great day of racing, shopping, eating, tips and just pure fun that was had, looking forward to MASCAR race # 2 at Kempsville Raceway coming up in December. Thanks to all who raced and helped out.
