RACE PREVIEW

The Triple 125s will feature a unique format of one class of car competing on three different tracks for one overall winner. The Slot Car Club of the Twin Tiers enjoys the luxury of having three first class HO scale tracks on hand. The WizTrack was used at the 2004 UFHORA National Championships for the T-Jet class. It is very tight and technical. The ultra-smooth Buck Track Bansai has hosted thousands of races under the Pocket Rocket Raceway and SCCOTTT banners, including the first six Snowball 500s. The Bowman Grand Champion is the largest track in the SCCOTTT stable and boasts a tremendous variety of corners and elevation. It is the most popular track at the club's shop.

The Triple 125s champion will be determined by the total points scored on all three tracks combined. Due to this unusual format, drivers will be allowed to enter one or two cars. Once a car is placed in competition on a particular track, however, it cannot be changed over until the next track's race.

Last month's Freezin' 250 featured a tremendous duel between brothers Ryan and Kevin Hendrickson. Kevin lead most of the race, but the older and more experienced Ryan was able to take the lead late and go on to win. The two brothers are expected to be the lead protagonists once again at the Triple 125s. Ryan has 9 Majors wins, Kevin has none. Will this be the race where Kevin finally breaks out of his brother's shadow and comes out on top?

The two brothers will have to keep an eye on more than just each other. Gary Weber, Mark Webster, George Mest, Dave Van Duzer, Warren Lux, Cliff Potter and veteran Jeff "Hoss" Phoenix have all shown signs of improving and any of them could step to challenge for the win.

SCCOTTT's Saturday Night HO Racing Series runs every other Saturday evening with races beginning at 5 PM. Current classes are Super Stock T-Jet and X-Traction. Call or e-mail for rules.

SCCOTTT's Friday Night 1/32 Racing Series runs every Friday evening with races beginning at 7:00 PM. Current classes are World Sportscar Championship, (WSC,) GT, Non-Magnet Open and 1/24 Le Mans. Call or e-mail for rules.
