Race Preview

T-Jet

Ryan Hendrickson has had the hot hand of late, including a sweep of the Triple 125s in February. He enters as the clear favorite. His brother Kevin will be pushing to defend his title, but both will have their eyes on George Mest. Mest had a breakthrough drive at the Triple 125s and is edging ever closer to that first SCCOTTT win. Other strong challenges could come from R.C. Lincoln and Larry Weaver. Multiple national champion Lincoln will be making his second appearance at SCCOTTT, while Weaver has been steadily improving his game over the past few months.

Brass Wars

SCCOTTT's Brass Wars race has built up quickly, is now quite possibly the most prestigious race of its type. Brass Wars has been split into two classes for the first time and the field is wide open. Bob Lincoln is favored to defend his overall and "Modified" title, even though he will have a new car this year. His biggest threat will most likely be his son R.C. Ernie Langford was strong in '07, but his car was not up to the level of Lincoln's. The new rules could favor him. No word has come out of the Saccomanno camp as yet, and you never know what Joe has in store. Vintage is even more of a guess, but based on his track knowledge, Dave Hendrickson has to be the pre-race favorite.

SCCOTTT's Friday Night 1/32 Racing Series runs every Friday evening with races beginning at 7:00 PM. Current classes are World Sportscar Championship, (WSC,) Non-Magnet Open and 1/24. Call or e-mail for rules.
